Rolling Stone’s Five-Star Rated Albums

Erik Heels, the most interesting of all patent attorneys, is mad that Rolling Stone makes it so difficult to find all of the albums rated with 5 stars. There’s not many of them, in fact, there were only 3 in the 90s, Slanted & Enchanted by Pavement, Automatic for the People by R.E.M., and Metallica by Metallica, and all of those were released by 1992. Also interesting is that most of the albums given 5 stars in the 2000s were reissues. Do those even count? Click through for the full list.

Rolling Stone is a little too strict when it comes to album reviews, me thinks! The seem fair, but I have to say, all of the decades had way more classic, 5-Star worthy albums than mentioned. I mean, come on, the 90s had way more than 3! Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Radiohead, Green Day and the Eels all deserve at least one each. I could be pompous and name 50 more for every other decade, but I won’t. 🙂

The 70s have always been overrated, but I’m interested in seeing what albums got it then. Also for the 00s, I bet they picked the worst ones for the 00s!
