John McCain has been having a lot of trouble lately finding musicians willing to let him use their music. He’s run afoul of John Mellencamp, twice, and even used the song of a Democratic Congressman. We understand, it’s hard work calling people up and asking them if it’s OK to use their music. Because running for president is such hard work and there are so many details associated with it, we wanted to make things a little easier by creating a list of all the bands/artists that would prefer the McCain campaign not use their work. We hope to turn this into a valuable time saver so they can get on to more important things, like learning more about the VP pick. If you’d like to be added to the list, let us know or leave a message in the comments and we’ll put you on.
ABBA – Take a Chance on Me
Addison Groove Project
Arcoda
Chuck Berry – Johnny B. Goode
Bon Jovi – Who Says You Can’t Go Home
Frankie Valli – Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You
Foo Fighters – My Hero
Gretchen Peters – Independence Day
Heart – Barracuda
Jackson Browne – Running on Empty
John Mellencamp – Pink Houses AND Our Country
Orleans – Still the One
Mike Myers
Mood Doculators
The Quick Six
Ten Years Too Late
Van Halen – Right Now
Zox
This is your best idea yet.

Well you could add Mellisa Ethridge and the Boss there just by default since they Endorse Obama… and would probably prefer McCain stay out of their catalog.

Does this also count the Palin stuff? Cause Bon Jovi’s none to happy at her.
